Won’t connect to wifi at all

Hi my tv won’t connect to the WiFi, it keeps saying missing WiFi hardware. My hardware ID is not all 0s. We changed wifi providers thought that was the problem but it is not. I have reset network connection and when I go to scan nothing comes up. Please help.

Re: Won’t connect to wifi at all

Your post is lacking some specifics.  What brand of modem/router are you using? What brand of TV?

It almost sounds like you have not set up your router with the new provider but try unplugging your modem and router for 30 to 60 seconds.

Re: Won’t connect to wifi at all

Assuming you're speaking of a Roku TV, it's not the Hardware ID that would be all zeros, it's the MAC address.  If it says the Wi-Fi hardware is missing, there's no hope of connecting to a Wi-Fi network.  If it's still under warranty, contact the manufacturer.  If your TV has an Ethernet port, you could use a wired connection.  If it's not still under warranty and you're not comfortable with taking it apart, you can always connect a separate Roku device to the TV.
