Used 13 mb in 24 hours only streamed about 4 hrs

I use a 15 mb hot spot.  I streamed about 4 hours in a 24 hr period and my data was drained.  Is that normal for it to continually use data when not using it?

Thanks for the post.

While we don't typically recommend using mobile hotspot connections for streaming, please be aware that streaming on a Roku device may use a considerable amount of data.
