I can not get my roku to connect to wifi no matter what I do, but it will connect to my hotspot on my phone with no issue. Everything else connects to my wifi just fine. No one can seem to help me with this issue.
If you are receiving error code 14.30 or 14.40 error code and have a cable ISP gateway (Xfinity/Comcast, Cox, or AT&T) gateway), recent firmware updates to these routers over the past months have caused connection and streaming issues with Roku 2.4ghz-only devices. (Roku Express 3930/3931/LE and Roku Premiere 3920/3921).
------
The initial troubleshooting step is to verify that [ b/g/n ] Wireless Mode or Protocol is Enabled in your gateway's (router) wireless settings under the 2.4 ghz band.
------
Restart both your Router and Roku devices(s) after making the above changes.

I'm having the same problems and it's passing me off
Hello @Rain54
Thanks for the post.
If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: How to connect your Roku device to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet
Furthermore, if the affected device is either a Roku Express or Roku Premiere, please note that they are only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to. You can check your device model by navigating to Settings > System > About.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
Let us know how it goes!
All the best,
Kariza
Network screen indicates I'm connected to my wifi, even displays IP address along with gateway number. But then when I go to open an app the "not connected to internet" notice comes up.
So I return to network screen and check my connection. Again I get all green. But still nothing will open
It's not displaying any error codes. Everything appears to be correct. Atleast on a surface level. But Hellen Kellar was better with Pictionary than I am with technology, so it is entirely possible that I'm simply overlooking something.
@Calsam1227 Please read what avs wrote about the 2.4GHz
@Streamer317 I'm extremely technologically impaired. Can you translate to layman's terms please?
First thing to do is to restart both your router and your Roku device.
If you still do not have a connection when trying to play content, post back your router model number (maybe a sticker on bottom or side of router) and your ISP (internet service provider).
