My Roku is connected to my network but is not "Active". How can I fix this?

Jump to solution

Its all in the tidal. My Roku is connected to my router, I can see its IP in the list of connected devices, but its not "Active".

Dose anyone know how to fix this without a remote?

Hi @HavinH,

Thanks for the extra details and for sharing the troubleshooting tried.

In this case, if we have exhausted every troubleshooting then we'll need a physical remote to set up the Roku device back.

We can't connect the Roku device back to the mobile app unless it is set up already.

You can check our product page here for compatible remotes: RokuProducts.

We hope this clears things up!

Best regards,

Hi @HavinH,

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We will be more than happy to assist you further. May we know what kind of Roku device you are using right now? (Roku Express, Roku streaming stick, Roku Ultra, Roku streambar, Roku TV-Specify) How far is your Roku device from your network router? Are you getting any error messages or codes?

With detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.

Thanks,                                                                                                                                                  John

We are using the Roku streaming stick.

We don't have a remote.

It's less then 6 feet away from my router, and I already did all the hard restart options.

There is no issues with my TV, router, or internet and we didn't update or change our internet.

It could be failing to connect to my internet, but I don't understand how.
