Help with TV what’s going on

I have the USB Roku and a Samsung tv. I plugged in my Roku to a fire tv and it worked, then I plugged it into my Samsung and everything is on, and the Samsung read there being an input into the HDMI. But the tv wouldn’t display the Roku on the screen. It said there’s an HDMI connection, but it didn’t display on the screen. I reset the Roku, and it finally popped up, but then it said I needed to update and restart my Roku. So I did, and after the update and reset, it was back to square 1 where the Roku was on, the hdmi said it was connected, but the tv wasn’t showing roku.

Re: Help with TV what’s going on

I'm guessing that when you say "USB Roku" that you might be powering your Roku via a USB port in the TV.  If so, try using a wall power adapter.  Many TVs do not provide enough power to their USB ports.

Banned but back. Because why not?
