Help!!
The error code 008 is usually reserved for the different RokuTVs. Normally indicates a firmware issue. (other times, it can actually be a Roku server issue having problems with your internet connection).
Some of the options you can try (in advancing order)
1. Unplug your RokuTV for a couple of minutes. Restart all your network equipment (modem, router, extenders, etc.). Then plug your TV back in and perform a Network Connection Reset. (Settings/System/Advanced System Settings/Network Connection Reset/Reset Connection).
2. Try using an ethernet connection (wired connection) if available on your RokuTV.
3. Try using a mobile hotspot if available to you to perform the update. (connect the RokuTV to this mobile hotspot).
4. Factory Reset the RokuTV (press and hold in the reset button for 15-30 seconds). **Just make sure you have a working physical Roku Remote before performing a Factory Reset.
5. Try updating the RokuTV via the USB port. (https://support.roku.com/article/212361468 - How to use USB to update your unconnected Roku TV system).
-----
If none of the above work, you will likely have to contact the manufacturer of the RokuTV. (https://community.roku.com/t5/Manufacturer-support-warranty-resources/Contacting-Support-for-Your-Ro...)
If the RokuTV is brand new, I personally would just return/exchange it if none of the above work.
