Did you try changing it to another simple password and then rebooting both the router and Roku device?
I’m thinking that Roku really screwed up, somehow. All 3 of my Roku Ultras stopped working 2 days ago. I tried everything under the sun, but the only thing that worked was renaming my router, and turning off encryption so that a password isn’t required.
I rebooted the modem - unplugged the power, waited a few minutes, and plugged it back. Then tried connecting Roku devices with the same password, and now it worked! But it is very strange that suddenly both of them stop connecting at the same time and refuse to recognize the password!
Well, I’m certainly glad you got them working. I had to turn off encryption (so no password needed) to get mine back online.
But that means anyone can connect to your network! 😟 Just rebooting didn't work for you?
No, I rebooted everything dozens of times. The only thing that worked was renaming the router, and disabling security.
I’m not too concerned about the open network, as i live in a very remote area, quite a bit back from the road. Im surrounded by forest. A car goes by maybe once every few days. But I would like to figure this out. Seems like lots of Roku owners are having the same problem at the same time. I’m thinking Roku may have pushed an update that bolluxed up something in the networking code. I’m an engineer, and it drives me nuts when things just don’t add up. It drives my wife crazy! 😇
