Text keeps popping up at top of screen

Just setup my new Roku streaming stick 4K and every 30 second there’s a pop up at the top of the screen that says “streaming stic (hdmi 1”). It pops up for a few seconds then goes away. Then about 10 seconds later another pop up appears at the top that says “playback_1 (hdmi 1”). In both cases there’s additional smaller text in the upper right corner (1080p 16:9 PCM). It appears regardless of which app I’m running (YouTubeTV, Netflix).

Here’s a photo. Does anyone know how to stop this from occurring? I don’t see any obvious settings to change. My TV is a Sony, purchased in 2021. Thanks in advance.

Re: Text keeps popping up at top of screen

It's your TV doing this, not the Roku.   I don't have a Sony so I don't know where in the Sony interface you need to go to control this.

Re: Text keeps popping up at top of screen

Try a different HDMI input.  If you're using the TV's USB port to power the stick, try using the supplied USB power adapter plugged into the wall.

Re: Text keeps popping up at top of screen

Thanks for the input. I had previously attempted using different HDMI inputs, having the stick powered via an outlet and the TV, powering down the TV and the Roku, and checking various settings on both the TV and Roku. None proved to be an immediate solution, however the issue eventually resolved itself and the text is no longer popping up.
