Solving playback issues

Why is there now video ads on my home screen? I will literally throw all 3 of my roku tvs AWAY if this is permanent. Or if this leads to some other disruptive ad on my homescreen. I don't need to be advertised at 24/7!!!!! Smh roku is slowly becoming hot garbage. Not to mention it's literally impossible to voice frustrations to anyone who will actually be able to fix it. So sick of online forums and guides being pushed on me as the only way to answer my questions. Not to mention roku is NOT BBB accredited so they obviously don't give 2 shytes about customer satisfaction.. DO BETTER.

@roku if you read any of this I will throw every device in the dumpster if you keep forcing ads before I can navigate the Home Screen so help me. A line has been crossed!

This is one of a million reasons to run a Pihole (DNS black hole for ads) because where there's supposed to be ads on my roku's home screens, there's blank spaces.

My Pihole forces Roku to allow me to enjoy my home screen and its theme instead of interrupting and ruining the experience.

Roku doesn't understand their value as a center piece, their backgrounds and wallpapers and themes are just garbage compared to what they'll be in the future when intelligent people start working there. They think it's a place to shove more ads when it's not, that's like asking people to put a billboard up in their living room... no one wants that.

Won't have Roku much longer though, saving up to switch to Nvidia Shield with Plex and HDHomeRun.
