Stuttering Live and on Demand playpack - ESPN+ Paramount+ Sports coverage

When I try to watch live Champions LEague games via Paramount+, Premiere League via Peacock, or Ice Hockey on demand via ESPN+ - for the past few months games have suddenly started to playback with a constant stop/start stutter on the video side. The audio seems to less affected. This is all via my ROKU device. However, if I go directly via my SONY TV using the apps, this isn't at all an issue. Unfortunately, I much prefer to use my Roku as the user interface and remote is so much better. Help please. I do not think I have changed any settings. So perhaps it's because of a Software upgrade? Either way - it's unwatchable via Roku.

Re: Stuttering Live and on Demand playpack - ESPN+ Paramount+ Sports coverage

Welcome to the Roku Community, @GoonerAJ23!

Thanks for sharing this issue with us. This can be very annoying, and we don't want you to experience that, so we're here to sort it out.

Here are some quick fixes you might try:

  • Reboot your Router.
    1. Locate your internet router and reset it by doing the following:
      1. Unplug it from its power source. Wait 10 seconds, then plug it directly into a power outlet
      2. Press the Reset button located on the bottom or back of the device and wait for a few minutes, then try loading content on your Roku device again
    2. If you need help with this step, contact your internet service provider
  • Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  • Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
  • Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

If none of these work, let us know, and we’ll dig deeper to figure it out. Hope this helps!

Best,
Emman
