my problem is similar to the above reported. mine is express 4k, connected direct to TV, using tv speakers, download speed test is 86M, picture streams smoothly, but audio is choppy - fades in and out in about half second spurts. this occurs across all channels.
I've searched the help database as thoroughly as I know how and can find nothing similar
any help would be appreciated

Have you tried to switch your HDMI cable or tried to use another HDMI input on your TV to see if it'll fix the audio problem?
Furthermore, have you tried to connect your Roku device to another TV to see if you are still having the same issue?
