This happens to me too! I bought the brand new Roku Ultra and it randomly makes a loud noise when I turn it on. Then, when it goes away sometimes audio doesn’t work at all. I’ve switched HDMI cords and ports. Help?

Danny its been several months since I posted this and responded to your request for more information, and have never received a solution or reply from you.
Is there a solution for the dozen plus of us with this problem or will you just send us new functional units?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Please reply here with the serial number/device ID of the affected Roku Ultra. It can be located in Settings > System > About.
Once we have this information we will be able to pass it along to our Support team who can assist you further.

They finally got back to me a few weeks ago. You need to go into "settings - audio - HDMI - Auto passthrough". It has been working since I made the change. Good Luck.
