Roku Ultra not allowing new TV to shut down

I have an older Ultra, 4640RW, 13.1.4. ADC73C769557. Just connected a new Samsung DU7200 Smart TV to it. Each time I try to turn off TV, it does one of two things: TV will come back on after a few seconds and Roku will start playing whatever episode of whatever Roku Network show is being advertised on home page (Honest Renovation at the moment, OR, TV will turn off but you can hear the episode of the show playing (this is possible because everything runs through a Pioneer receiver). This never happens with my 10 YO Samsung, not until this new "Smart" TV. Why is this happening???

Re: Roku Ultra not allowing new TV to shut down

Just to confirm, before you turn the TV off you've stopped playback of any media on the Roku, right? If you don't stop playback it's possible the signal is triggering your TV to turn back on.

If that's not the issue, you can disable CEC control in the Roku (labeled One-touch play in the menu). You might need to disable CEC in the TV as well (Samsung calls it Anynet).
