It is a ROKU issue not a Max issue - I have the same issue. I have to unplug TV which then resets, then Max loads - i should not have to unplug to reset ROKU tv. It is a ROKU tv issue. Tire of ROKU putting blame on the provider.
There has been an ongoing issue with HULU/Disney as well. They need to get with the providers and fix their issues.

p.s. - This is when I purchase the app on the ROKU channel - max on Roku or Hulu on Roku etc.
