Live tv black screen but netflix streams fine.

Jump to solution

All roku boxes in house show black screen, no audio but has channel guide. I know streaming is fine because my Netflix and others services are streaming just fine. Been 3 days of no service. Am wondering if they are doing upgrades or just stopped free live TV. 🤔

Hi @Billbow01,

Thanks for joining us here in the Roku Community!

We'd like to assist you with this playback issue you're having. Are you referring to The Roku Channel Live TV? If so, are you also experiencing this issue with the on-demand shows available on the channel?

If you haven't tried any troubleshooting, we would recommend performing the steps below and see if that helps.

  • Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  • Restart your Roku device: You can restart the device from the settings menu. Go to Settings > System > System restart > Restart.
  • Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

For additional troubleshooting, you can visit our support page here: How to resolve a channel playback issue.

Thanks,
Rey
