to get everything working I used Roku settings>Audio>Audio Mode>auto. then went back to Audio and did Audio>Digital Output Mode>Custom>Dolby (NOT DOLBY +), DTS off.
I get video but no sound.
No, neither of these work. If Tablo can't decode the sound signal, then why would your suggestions work?
You have a working Roku w/Tablo.
Not solved for me, but adding a bit more information now.
I have several rokus, but will contain this to a bit less..
======================
Roku #1 3914X2 Roku Express 4k +
Roku 14.0.4 FW Build 12221
Connected to LG43VT8000AVA
NOT STREAMING LIve or recorded Tablo Video/Audio
Streams No Over the air channels from Tablo.
=======================
Roku #2 3914X2 Roku Express 4k +
Roku 14.0.4 FW Build 12221
Connected to LG43VT8000AVA (Yes same TV Type connected to Roku #1)
NOT STREAMING LIve or recorded Tablo Video/Audio
Streams No Over the air channels from Tablo.
=======================
Roku #3 3914X2 Roku Express 4k +
FW Build 12221
Connected to SONY BRAVIA KDL-46NX711
All TABLO Streaming works.
=======================
Connecting up any of the Rokus above to my Sony Bravia TV works for streaming Tablo live or recordings.
Anecdotally I have another 55 Inch SONY TV that has a different older Roku Ultra connected to it and all tablo streams work.
Also have an older Sharp TV with a 3914X2 Roku Express 4k +
connected to it that doesn't stream tablo.
So Sony seems to be fine nothing else here. No Sound bars here either.
Yes, I can fiddle with the settings to get just video on my LG TV's .. but why?
This worked for me!!
Model: 4620X - Roku Premiere
Software: 14.0
Thank you!!
Worked for my unit!
What is the fix? Is there a way to roll back the OS upgrade?
You are correct that it seems related to audio setting. I tried this on my Roku Express 3930X. It then would play the video (live and recorded), but no sound. Close but no cigar. Thanks anyway.
I have waited patiently for over a week now for a solution from Roku.
I have tried all the posted suggestions regarding changing audio settings, and nothing has worked. Either nothing plays, or it plays with no sound.
I have a sound bar, but it gets no signal either. I have no way to connect it directly to the Tablo.
I have an Amazon Fire Stick arriving today, which I hope will allow me to play my Tablo once again.
Sorry Roku, but you've been a big disappointment.
Yeah, a bit dissapointing. Trying to have the same interface across all TVs..now I have to use LGs smart TV to play Tablo. Ugh!
