Did they ever fix the audio problem using the DirecTV stream app?

Jump to solution

Still having issues with the audio intermittently using the directTV stream app. volume can go real high real low. Oftentimes gets distorted and you can return it to normal by rewinding or fast forwarding or changing channels. I have been battling this for over 2 years. It happens intermittently on two different TVs with two different setups.

Hi @Techhound,

Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Roku Community!

We're sorry to hear that you've been having this issue for over 2 years. We'd like to help you with this. As a start, let's try to troubleshoot this by following the steps below:

  1. Remove the affected channel by highlighting it from the channel tile, and pressing the star (*) button. Then select the remove option.
  2. Do a system restart by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart.
  3. Add the channel back by searching for it from the "Streaming Store."

If the issue persists, it likely means that the issue is rooted within the channel. Hence, it might be a better option to contact the channel provider directly and let them know about the experience you had with their channels. Most channels on the Roku platform are designed and maintained by the channel providers themselves.

All the best,
Kash
