Changed to T-mobile home internet, now Sling will not load on Roku Express

Changed to T-mobile home internet, now Sling will not load on Roku Express. Says "network Error", yet all other apps work fine. 3930X Roku Express. Roku totally updated, app removed / restarted/ reinstalled, plenty of bandwidth. Any ideas? Sling says its a Roku problem, Roku says its a Sling problem.

Re: Changed to T-mobile home internet, now Sling will not load on Roku Express

Hi @WB4IUY,

A warm welcome here in the Roku Community!

We understand you are having a problem with the Sling TV channel since, after you have changed your wireless network connection, it will not load on your Roku Express. We're happy to investigate further. Can you please provide the following information below?

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  • What channel and what version or build is the channel (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)?
  • Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID).

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.

Thanks,
John

Re: Changed to T-mobile home internet, now Sling will not load on Roku Express

Hi there! I read your question and was going to try and move from Spectrum Internet and TV to T-Mobile Internet and Sling TV. What I found out is that T-Mobile Home Internet is not compatible with streaming services that use IP addresses to deliver live TV. This includes Sling Live TV and Hulu. Hopefully this will change in the future, but as of right now, that is what I am learning.
