Can't see selection highlighted

We have tried all the fixes.  Restoring to factory settings does it but I don't want to have to input my passwords 3x a day because the highlighting feature shuts off after I go out of whatever I started to watch.  This Streambar is 1 day old.  I had the other one for 3 weeks before it started the above.  I took it back and got a new one.  This leads me to believe it is a software issue.  Any other suggestions?  Anything will be helpful.  Thanks.

The last time I heard this complaint it was solved by changing to a different wallpaper.
