Black Screen while Stream - Anything

Hi! I've been having this issue and I'd tried all sorts of stuff. What solved it for me was going into Settings > Display Type and then changing my resolution to 720p. Not sure why it worked, but it at least got my picture back! Hope this helps.

Re: Black Screen while Stream - Anything

Hi, @19641217

Thanks for reaching out.

If you have resolved the black screen issue while streaming, and you experience freezing, you can perform a a system restart as a troubleshooting step to address the issue.

  1. Press Home

    on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart

Give this a try and keep us posted.

Thanks,

Hi, @19641217

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps recommended in my previous post?

Additionally, you can set the Roku device's display type to "automatic" by navigating to Settings > Display Type > Automatic.

Keep us posted.
