Is there any way to increase the number of notifications on the smart home app? I notice that the notifications I see on my phone are just 24 until I clear my screen. When you go to events you see everything but it would be great to see all the notifications on my actual phone screen as well.
Hi @joyee0221,
Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We understand you want to increase the number of notifications you receive in your Roku smart home app. We're happy to help. Use the steps below to choose the motion events that trigger a notification.
If you ever want to change your notification preferences, you can easily repeat the steps above and re-check any event.
We hope this helps, and please keep us posted on what you find out.
Best regards,
John
This isn't an answer to the question. I am assuming that the question was not understood.
This is what appears to happen on my phone:
I get alerts for each notification but if I do not acknowledge a notification either by tapping it, swiping it, or opening the app, it sits in a queue. Once this queue gets to 24 notifications, my phone no longer alerts any notifications - ie, no ding or pop-up. After I open the app, thereby clearing the notifications, regular alerts resume.
Perhaps this is a "feature" with the idea that if you're not responding to notifications, then it is better to give up trying to alert you until you become more responsive.
Thank you!! This is exactly what is happening. I have tried to explain it to tge best of my ability in English as that's not my first language. Thank God you understood. I feel like the app shouldn't stop at 24.
Yes, I agree with you. If I put my phone on silent for an hour or something (like because I have a meeting or something), it would be nice for me to not have to babysit the app and remember that I have to clear out the notifications.
I don't know if this maybe should be a feature request: to treat the 24 notification limit to a first-in first-out queue and continue to alert when this queue is full.

Thanks for the added clarity here! We've sent this up to our product team as a feature request and appreciate the extra info and use cases where this could be necessary. We'll keep this thread updated if this feature is added!
