What you describe is typically a symptom of the Roku memory cache getting corrupted. Clearing the memory cache should cure the problem.
The easiest way to do this is to RESTART your Roku. (For Roku TV users reading this: if you have "Fast TV start" enabled, turning the TV off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart.)
Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power", or on models without a Power option, under "Settings > System".
If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.

Re: not enough memory??? keeps telling me not enough "device memory". uninstalled a number
Hi @jgeren10,
Greetings from the Roku Community!
If you receive a "Can't run channel" or "Insufficient memory" error code.
Here are a couple of quick things to try:
- Restart your Roku: Settings > System > Power > System restart
- Unplug & Replug: Unplug your Roku from the power outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
For more detailed steps, check out this article: How to fix "Can't run channel" and "Insufficient memory" error messages | Official Roku Support
Still, having issues? Share us these details:
- How many channels are on your Roku?
- What Roku model are you using?
- When did this start happening?
- What's your Roku OS version?
- What channel were you trying to use?
Let's get this sorted!
Thanks,
Roku Community Team

Re: not enough memory??? keeps telling me not enough "device memory". uninstalled a number
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this answer! We pay for ESPN and haven't been able to get it for months now. I keep deleting apps and now we hardly have any left but it still wasn't working! I'm so excited now my family can watch their beloved sports again. Whoever suggested the "System Restart" just helped perform a Christmas miracle! Lol. Many thanks again.
