Hello! @metalchic,

Thank you for your post in the Roku Community!

We appreciate you reaching out to us about the issue you are experiencing with the display of your Roku screen not fitting on your TV. We are pleased to assist you.

You can change your Roku's display type by pressing the Home button on your remote, selecting settings, selecting display type, and choosing a display type. For more detailed information, please check out the instructions here: How to change the display type on your Roku streaming player.

Check your video cable connection. Ensure the video cable is firmly connected to the Roku player and the TV HDMI connector.

system restart is the least invasive reset method. If reaching the power cord is inconvenient, you can also use the instructions below to restart the system from the Settings menu.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart

In either case, your Roku device will complete a system restart and hopefully return to normal operation after a moment.

Thanks,
Arjiemar
