No sound when I change back to cable input

I just purchased my ROKU.  We still have satellite (Dish), but want to stream from paid subscriptions like Paramount+, etc.   When I watch television using ROKU using HDMI 3, sound is fine, but when I switch inputs back to satellite TV using HDMI 2, I lose audio.

If I switch inputs , the reverse happens.  In other words, whichever device (satellite or Roku) is plugged into HDMI 3  plays video and sound, while the other device plugged into HDMI 1 or 2 loses sound.

You might see if there's a firmware update for your TV.  Depending on the TV, this may be a manual process involving a website download and a USB flash drive.

Banned but back. Because why not?

Re: No sound when I change back to cable input

How do you have the system set up?  Do you have it through a Stereo using the ARC through the receiver or it is connected through the TV directly?

Have you tried changing out to new HDMI Cables?
