"Default Input" doesn't work with CEC control
I am very confused why the "Default Input" setting only partially works. I have a Roku Ultra connected to a Roku TV, as the standard Roku TV interface was very choppy and lacked other features. The Ultra communicates with the TV via CEC, which works great most of the time. However, when you turn on the TV with the Ultra remote, the default input setting doesn't work, forcing you to use two remotes. Even worse, you can't turn off the TV via CEC once it's booted to the home screen, which is super annoying when accidentally turning on the TV.
This community post found on search engines should've had the answer, but it's been mysteriously archived/deleted. Is there any solution to this obvious bug? I've seen people suggest "1-touch play" as a solution, but this is unacceptable for my setup, as I have an HDMI splitter linking the Roku Ultra to a second display, which I do not want to turn on whenever using the TV or vice versa.

Re: "Default Input" doesn't work with CEC control
Not sure I'm following completely. Do you want the TV to ALWAYS start up with the connected Ultra being shown on the screen?
In the TV settings: Settings > System > Power > Power on
You can choose a specific input or have it return to whatever was the last input used.
