Just installed a rumor express and during setup, when it gets to the update, appears to update and restart, goes back through setup, than wants to update again.
Have done it 15 times now. How do I fix this
@BentwerxSince you're new to the community, its important you state the device model, type of connection (Wired or WiFi), which update you're trying to install and if WiFi, whether you've checked for network congestion using a phone app to determine which channels may be interfering with yours.
Using wifi for connection,
Ruko express stick that plugs into tv.
Issue is with setup, when it gets to the update, downloads with what appears to be full updes, but reboots and goes back through again and again.
Hi, @Bentwerx
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We appreciate you for sharing this information with us, and we're sorry to hear about the trouble.
Let's try to troubleshoot this by performing a complete restart of your Roku streaming device. A reset button is located at the back of your Roku streaming device Is a button or a pinhole that requires a clip to be pressed and held for 20 seconds while the Roku device is turned on. After this, the device will boot and see if it's able to restart for another set-up process.
Keep us posted on how it works.
All the best,
Kash
Sorry, meant to post update on Sunday.
The boy figured it out. Changed to a different wifi connection.
My wifi has 2 sources. Same network router and 1 is 5g. The 5g one didn't like the ruko
Thanks for keeping us posted, @Bentwerx
We're glad to hear that it was sorted out. This issue might be the cause of your internet service provider, and we recommend connecting to the 2.4ghz until any further workaround that your internet services provider can recommend with connecting your Roku.
If you have further concerns or inquiries, please let us know.
All the best,
Kash
