@jgeren10-

What you describe is typically a symptom of the Roku memory cache getting corrupted.  Clearing the memory cache should cure the problem.

The easiest way to do this is to RESTART your Roku.  (For Roku TV users reading this: if you have "Fast TV start" enabled, turning the TV off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart.)

Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power", or on models without a Power option, under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.

Hi @jgeren10,

Greetings from the Roku Community!

If you receive a "Can't run channel" or "Insufficient memory" error code, follow the steps below to fix the problem.

How to fix network issues

These error messages may be caused by a network issue preventing your Roku streaming device from properly opening an app. This can be due to a weak signal or a problem with your internet provider.

How to fix low storage space

Another reason for the error messages may be that your Roku device lacks the required storage space to store and install the app. Removing other apps from your Roku device can free up space.

  • Tip: If your Roku streaming device has a micro SD card slot, you can expand the memory for installing apps.

Hope you'll find this info useful.

Kind regards,
John
