Hello! @Senjaa,
Thanks for the post,
In the meantime, If you cannot control your Roku device or it is completely unresponsive, you can perform a factory reset using the physical Reset button on the device.
Once you locate the Reset button and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.
After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device.
Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we will be happy to continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,
Arjiemar
How are you powering it? If you're using the TV's USB port try using a USB power adapter plugged into the wall. If it didn't come with one, try one from a phone or tablet that can supply at least 1 Amp (i.e., look at the fine print for something like, Output: 5V 1A).
I am having the same issue. I have a power cord that came with it plugged in. Power isn't the issue. The remote doesn't seem to be paired to the box? It flashes (getting a reading from the remote) but the buttons on the remote don't work, or the device is catching the signal but not reading it properly and allowing the screen to select the proper language and advance. I've plugged in and unplugged mine several times, reconnected the HDMI cable into the various HDMI ports and selected the correct port each time. As of now, the Roku name is doing the opening marquis and little else. I've double checked that the tv is on the correct wifi network but I can't get to the screen that allows me to select the wifi network (per the instructions). I've changed the batteries in the remote (again), reset the box and remote (green light is blinking intermittently).

I am having the same issue. I have tried changing the batteries in the remote. The power cord that came with it is plugged in to the wall and the streaming player light flashes. The remote doesn't seem to be working at all and there is no light or anything on the remote.

I bought the Roku yesterday and have never used it. How could I use it when I can't get it to work at all? As I said, I'm stuck at the language prompt and the remote does nothing. Roku 3941 model.
We're sorry for the late response!
Please share with us the serial number of this device and where it's paired. We'll be able to assist you from there.
Thanks,
Rey
I am having the same exact problem but it’s not the remote. I select the language and it does the little Roku loading thing then takes me right back to select language and it won’t go past that. Like a loop almost it’s frustrating I can’t even get to the select wifi part it won’t go past the select language.
Hi @Senjaa,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
First off, how are you powering the Roku device? Is the device plugged into the TV USB port, or is the device plugged into a wall outlet? We would recommend the latter.
In addition, I'd also recommend trying to connect your device to an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you can finish updating the device and finish setting up your Roku. Then, once your device is set up, try switching back to your home wireless network.
Please keep us posted on what you find out.
All the best,
Chel
