I’m try to set up my rocu but in order to put in the WiFi I need the MAC address and I can’t get to settings.I’ve checked all over the rocu there isn’t a MAC address anywhere.
By the way I have a rocu streaming stick.
Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify why you need your MAC address when you are trying to setup your Roku device? When are you being prompted for this? What kind of wireless network are you trying to connect to?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
I have the same need. I need to use a Roku Express 4k+ on an enterprise network. The security prevents the Roku from connecting to the wifi without having an exemption added first. Once I get the MAC, I can easily get networking to provide an exemption on the Enterprise Firewall.
We are going to be buying a LOT of Roku Express 4+ to run our new IPTV if testing is successful with the new app, but this is a major setback to getting these devices rolled out to departments.
I found the answer.
Go to Private Network on the wifi network selection screen. It will show you MAC address in an info box.
It's possible the MAC address might be on a sticker on the box the Roku came in, but that's not a certainty. As mentioned, it is found under Settings/Network/About, which provides all your network information, such as IP address, wireless channel used, and last measured Internet speed. That that Internet speed with a grain of salt. My Ultra 4800 is the only Roku I have that comes close to displaying my actual speed.
