Slow Android App Start-Up after Samsung Update

A couple of weeks ago there was an update from Samsung to my  android Galaxy S23 Ultra.   Since then, when I start the Roku app (to control a Roku TV), it takes close to a minute of watching the fuzzy image on the screen before the menu appears at the bottom of the screen.  The app used to start up in about 15 or so seconds.

Please have a look at this and restore the app to the faster start-up time.

Thanks

Re: Slow Android App Start-Up after Samsung Update

I'm not sure of the date, and I'm pretty certain I didn't receive an Android or cell (OnePlus, blazing fast cell) update, but I too noticed a while back a BIG difference in time (from instantly opening to taking 8 to 13 seconds/just a blurry screen) it takes to load the app and connect to the last device. I have been using only my cell to control both my Roku box and my Sony TV for about 5 years now. Your cell is better than any universal remote! Sure wish I could still access the remote from my notifications/quick launch on my cell.

Re: Slow Android App Start-Up after Samsung Update

All of the bugs follow no matter which of 8 different android devices I grab. Besides that, the first thing I did on my main cell was to trash cache/storage. After that didn't work, uninstall and reinstall. Then noticed the difference on other devices too. No one is going to perish over this, of course, and I assume it is due to the seemingly much more content loading in the app than previously, mainly, it is just an annoyance for those of us that use the app regularly. I'm disabled and use the app anywhere from 12 to 15 hours every day. For one, it's a necessity unless I want to spend 1,000's of dollars a month on batteries. 🤣 Love the app, couldn't live without it, but I do have ideas. One of these days I may try coding an app.
