Roku device now unresponsive.

Have used the iPhone app to connect to and use my Roku for device for over a year now. Did a Wi-Fi network update in my house, and now the app can see the Roku device as being on the same network, but will not connect to the Roku for.

.

 

I’ve also tried Trying to operate the Roku4 with a Roku remote, but the device does not respond to either remote I have, even with a fresh set of batteries

I have tried resetting the Roku box, Resetting the app on my iPhone, but the Roku device continues to be nonresponsive.

Please help me resolve this.

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thanks for contacting us about this issue. We'd like to help. You mentioned that a network update has been made. This will cause the Roku device to reconnect again to that network. If you see "not connected" on the upper right side of the TV screen, you'll need to reconnect it, and you'll need a working physical remote. 

Once the device is disconnected, you cannot connect to the Roku mobile app until it's connected to the same network.

In addition, Roku 4 Roku 4 (4400x) is a deprecated device and won't receive the newest OS version (Roku OS 12.0). You can find our release notes and a list of supported devices here: Roku OS software release notes.
