Does not stand by their product

Im now 2 hours into it with Customer Service trying to understand why you would offer me a discount, I go to use it, its invalid and now you wont honor it.  Why should I buy a product knowing in five years you wont support it.

What Model Roku Player are you waiting to speak with Customer Service for. Did you ever end up getting the issue resolved? I'm just curious. In my experience with many companies customers service it can be a challenging process but if you were offered a discount I would hope you would in the end get it.

I was suppose to get Hulu for free for 6 month through T-Mobile. Spent hours on the phone with the customers service rep. 1 month later. There was a bill for a full priced month of Hulu service. I was able to resolve the issue by calling back a 2nd time but lord know if I added up the time how long it took.

I'm pulling for you. Hopefully you got the discount!

Re: Does not stand by their product

Is there any updates? I've not had any issues with customer service, they are usually good at standing by what they offer. But, if course every person and situation is different. I've been to battle with Verizon on more than 1 occasion and sadly we don't get compensated for the hours spent trying to resolve it! I'm hoping things worked out for you, because I've been with Roku a long time and haven't had any issues (but I know it can happen)! Would def love an update!!

Oh boy don't get me going on Verizon. I've said this before to people but the only way to be treated fairly and with some sort of respect is you the customer which has been me to get angry and combative. I've treid taking the I'm going to be nice explain the situation and since i'm not going to be rude I feel like they will treat nicely.

Nope. I learnt the hard way. Which made me really upset cause whenever I go into these long phone calls with Verizon.  Comcast too I believe with the angry fighter mindset. I end up receiving what was promised. I really don't want to force myself into being angry before a phone call and prepare for battle.

Like you Shawna I have only been treated fairly and with understanding in the couple time over the years i've had to contact Roku. It's because of those interaction they have built up a level of respect at least with me as a customer. Everyone experience is different and I respect and understand that but Roku really has been great to me and enjoy seeing the company grow over the years.

Anyways back to the originally topic...any updates @natefisher21 . We're curious to see how things turned out for you.
