I’m not sure what you’re trying to do. If you take a Roku remote to another room, then if it is an IR (Simple) Remote, then it will do nothing. If it is a Wi-Fi (Voice/Voice Pro) remote, then it will keep running the Roku in the other room, but the Roku won’t be attached to the TV in this room. The app uses Wi-Fi, so like a Wi-Fi remote, it will control the Roku in the other room. (But that doesn’t do anything for the TV in this room.)
It sounds like you want a second Roku.
