Have had Roku sticks/subscriptions and this remote for about 2 years. Remote buttons have never been really easy to work, but the response has been getting worse over time, to the point that the "back" (to the left of "home") button is nearly unusable; when viewing details of a selection on a channel, I nearly always need to cycle all the way back to the master "Home" screen to back out. This can be very frustrating. I tried to follow the advice to reset the remote, but the process leads me to the pairing step, which always says it has failed, even though the remote is obviously paired, since the button presses are recognized by the stick before and after (assuming, I can press the buttons forcefully enough). I do not want to use the app instead of a remote. Since it does not appear on the product page, I assume that the RC833 has become obsolete? Are the currently available remotes improved wrt the ease of button use and durability of button contacts? I have very much enjoyed using Roku for the past 2 years, and would like to continue to do so, but difficulty using the remote is becoming a "show stopper" for me. Thank you.
