roku streambar remote won't turn tv off/on, everything else works fine. it stays on all the time now. can anyone help me?

We're glad to assist you with your problem with controlling the power button of your Roku remote. If the power button on your remote has stopped working entirely, you can try to update your Roku device to the most recent software. After doing so, confirm the dialogue box to proceed with the download and installation. Note that your Roku player will automatically download the latest software the next time it checks for an update. After the Roku player finishes restarting, if TV control has not been restored, check out this support article on how to set up your remote for TV control and do the following steps below:

Nothing worked, maybe I need to buy a new Roku.

Have you tried un-pairing and re-pairing your Roku voice remote as one of the troubleshooting step to see if it resolve the issue you encountered, If not, kindly follow the steps below:
Unpair your Roku remote.
1. Press and hold the pairing button located at the battery compartment of your Roku remote.
Re-pair your voice remote to your streaming device
Put your streaming device in pairing mode:
Put your voice remote in pairing mode:
Once your streaming device and remote are connected, the pairing dialog will appear on your TV screen.
If this doesn't fix the issue, please keep us posted, and we'll further assist you.

It won't work at all after doing the above.

Could you tell us how long you have been using this remote? Could you also share with us the device serial number of the device where it's paired? We'd like to take a closer look.

it now will turn on with the microphone button and off with it too by pushing and saying turn off TV
it worked for 2 years or so, I'm thinking it needs replaced.
Can't find serial number.

To get the serial number of the device, you can open the Settings menu using the steps below.
The About screen lists a lot of information about your Roku device. Look for the fields labeled Serial number.
