Re: headphone jack private listening
Model 4802X-Roku Ultra
Device ID: S0DA22AJS0C8
OS version/Software Version: 12.5.5 build 4174-C2
Old remote:
Name: Voice Remote Pro
Model: RC795
Firmware Version: rtn.4246
New remote:
Name: Voice Remote Pro
Model: RC795
Firmware Version: rtn.4246
Hope this helps someone: I received a replacement Roku Voice Remote Pro today. My remote from the Roku Ultra I have had for a couple of years has a rechargeable battery that is increasingly less able to hold a charge, so I was disappointed when this new remote played sound out of only the left side of my earphones. This set of earphones still worked well in my old remote; and other earphones worked in the new one, albeit with poor sound quality. The earphones seemed to have contact problems with the plug, and I would hear bits of sound when plugging them in.
I had ordered an aftermarket silicone case, and put it on. I re-inserted the earphone into the plug, and it caught an edge which held it out slightly. The earphones started working, and as I left it in longer, the sound improved and was stable. I just now unplugged them and then re-inserted the plug, and had to fiddle with the plug to re-establish good contact. I’m considering returning them, but I’m not confident another replacement would be any better after reading the Roku community posts.

Re: headphone jack private listening
We have 2 Roku Pro Remotes connected to 2 different T.Vs..after the first ones quit working, (They were battery operated,), I ordered the pros for both TVs… They are about six months old and within a week of each other. Both of them stopped working with the headphones… I have gone through all of the steps mentioned here and none of it works… We are still without headphone jack, private, listening on both remotes..not want to buy any more remotes..suggestions?
