My remote also drains batteries super fast. I’ve gone through two battery changes in a month.

I have two Roku stream sticks and both of them go through batteries like anything, but one is even worse and the remote behaves randomly, sometimes indicating that the batteries have a full charge, at times indicating that the battery is nearly empty. At other times it does not even connect to the Roku device even though the batteries are new.

This is getting very frustrating and makes using the Roku so problematic and inconvenient.

I filed w BBB and Roku contacted me, believe it or not. They are sending new remotes. However, I am expecting the same problem. I will reply yea or nay.

I did change the system standby to control other devices and turn those off when the tv is powered off. 

system --> control other devices (cec) --> system standby.
