@VAR , you're right; the software updates, not just the one from May but many of the updates being pushed, are breaking the communication between the control and TVs. Regardless, a non-working device is a broken device. What use will you have for it?
I have performed the system update multiple times over the past month, but the remote no longer controls the power/volume on my Sharp TV (it previously did). Here is my issue report tracker info:
Model: 3811X - Roku Streaming Stick+
Serial Number: YH0023515962 (253992515962)
SW version: 10.0.0 build 4198-50
TV model: LC-40Q3070U
When trying to pair, the Roku only tries 1 code and then gives up. The music starts but never stops.
Success. While getting the model number of my TV from the back of it, I noticed the label said Hisense (even though it says Sharp on the front). I selected Hisense instead of Sharp when pairing the remote, and it worked!
Remote model: RC128
remote firmware: 2.01.19.108
Roku model: 3921RW Roku Premiere+
Serial #: YH000P779683
software version: 10.0.0 build 4195-91
device ID: JG2890779683
Sharp TV unknown model
4800X- Roku Ultra
Software: 10.0.0 build 4208-C2
Device ID: SO2A2141C8RU
Thank you, this was exactly what was wrong with my Sharp TV. Sharp TV and Hisense boards.
Model 9101X - roku soundbar
10.0.0 BUILD 4196-95
Samsung: Model: UN60ES8000
Note: Power button on remote and IR no longer working.
I had to buy a new remote because my original one went out. The old one would control the volume and power but now the replacement remote won’t connect to the TV controls.
