My remote is slow charging. I have had it charging all day and it is only at 38%. I read it should take three hours. Why is the charge not doing anything?

What are you using as the source of power for charging your VR Pro? Some USB power adapters, especially some older ones, put out far less current than others. The fine print on the device should show you how many amps (or miniamps) the adapter can output.
