I'm trying to set up a #Roku streaming stick 4k, model 3820x2 for my aunt, and I've tried everything to pair the remote to the stick. I've pressed the home and back buttons for 5 seconds, I've reset the Roku itself, I've tried a regular USB cable, I've tried the USB cable with the Wi-Fi receiver, I've tried 7 different pairs of batteries that I've tested. I've tried unplugging the stick and plugging it back in, the remote pairs to other Roku devices like the 3930x and the 3941x without any issues, but I can't pair the remote to the streaming stick it came out of the box with

A regular USB cable will never work since the cable with the Wi-Fi receiver is required for the remote to pair with the stick.  It's possible that the cable is bad.  If it's new, return it.  I don't know of a way to test the cable without swapping it with a known working one.
