disconnected the wifi on my tv

my apps on my tv wasn't working so I thought disconnecting the wifi would help since I didn't want to restart the whole system but now I can't even use the remote on my phone since its not connected. the physical remote I have doesn't work anymore, even tried to put new batteries in it still nothing. I even tried to manually type in ip address. on my account now it said there is no streaming device so I can't even get the serial number what can I do next? do I need to permanently delete it and restart the setup? or should I wait for the live support team in the morning?

Re: disconnected the wifi on my tv

Sorry, you need a physical remote.  There's no way to get a Roku TV connected to Wi-Fi without one and you can't use the app until it's connected.  You can see if your remote is transmitting anything by pointing it at a digital camera like the one in your phone.  You should see flashes coming from the remote on the camera's screen when you press buttons on the remote.

You can get a Roku simple TV remote or most universal remotes support Roku TVs.
