Roku remote made a popping noise and jolted in my hand

We've had the same thing to us. The serial number inside the remote battery cover is: RF342B-T4-03 1-1.

We hope you have a resolution that isn't simply "use the mobile app as a remote." The controller should work safely, securely, and not cause alarm.
