Roku Ultra Voice Remote Compatibility with Samsung UHD DU7200 tv remote ? Any Help Please?

So I have a Samsung Crystal UHD DU7200 65" tv.  I plugged in a Roku ultra model 4802X that comes with a voice remote into the HDMI 3 port.  On the Samsung tv I have the universal remote feature turned off. I have HDMI plus enabled for the HDMI 3 port so I can get 4K quality on the Roku. I have Anynet+ (CEC) turned off on the tv's settings.  I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the Roku. I have the Roku remote configured to IR in the Roku settings.  FYI I just want to use the Roku remote for Roku and tv remote for tv.

Now for the actual issue I'm experiencing:

The Roku remote will not respond to button inputs.  The only way to get it to respond is to hold the reset button on the back of the Roku remote for 20 seconds.  Once it resets it becomes functional again for about 5 minutes and then will lose connection.  In addition, once the Roku remote resets, accessibility shortcuts on the Samsung tv is activated.  And the tv then proceeds to behave bizarrely. The mute button toggles on and off.  The captions option inside the accessibility shortcuts menu toggles on and off with no inputs made from me. Both of these happen simultaneously. The TV is speaking and sounds garbled as if it can't say fast enough the selections being made.  A double tap of the back button on the Samsung remote will get will close the menu, but occasionally accessibility shortcuts will pop up again randomly in the middle of watching something.

When the Roku remote is not responding.  holding less than 20 seconds does trigger the Roku to attempt to re-pair the remote, but the loading wheel on screen appears for about 5 seconds before ending prematurely with the standard roku selection chime sound effect.  The Roku remote does not respond still and did not appear to have paired.  Only a 20 second reset makes it function.

I have two theories:

1.  The Roku remote is faulty.  There is some logic circuit inside the remote that has become defective.  I just bought this Roku in July.  Maybe just bad luck.

2. The Samsung Tv's remote and the Roku remote have horrible compatibility and they are actively interfering with each other.  I have both my Roku and tv up to date

Anyone else out there experience this?  And if Roku technical support is reading this.  What do you suggest I do?  I'm contemplating returning the Roku and try with a different one. I'm still using the device currently, but it is a horrible user experience to deal with a non-functioning remote and having my tv pop the accessibility shortcuts menu up seemingly whenever it feels like it.

Thanks for reading.
