Roku Remote only turning the volume up from any botton

Jump to solution

My remote will only turn the volume up. It does not matter the button I push it will only turn the volume up. I can't turn off the tv, move, or select anything. What can I do? Possible water damage but unlikely as it was just after washing my hands and touching the remote.

I have the same issue but I can't find out the serial number because the remote doesn't control anything but the volume and the app isn't connecting to my phone.

Roku will tell you to get in touch with tv manufacturer, since roku only supplies the OS for the tv. I would go to ebay for used sharp roku tv remote. The quickest is to go to walmart either get roku voice remote or go for a universal like the One-For-All urc-7935 streamer remote, works great on Roku tv's. Here's a photo next to roku tv remote:P1010420 (800x600).jpg
