Hi, I had to find out the hard way that my tv doesn't allow me to add HBOMAX channel because the region was set to Canada (my girlfriend lives there and I live in the US), and I had to create another account to change region. However, I'm worried that because I use the remote app and I have to also factory reset my tv to link my new Roku account, that I will lose my remote control. Will I be able to factory reset my tv and link to my new roku account using the app still even if my account is different once I change it?

Unfortunately, you need a working physical Roku remote (or compatible RokuTV remote) to setup/activate the Roku device or a RokuTV.  Do not Factory Reset if you do not have a physical remote.

You can purchase either a Roku Voice Remote or a universal streaming IR remote (compatible with RokuTV) at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc.

After you have successfully setup/activated the RokuTV with a physical remote, you can then go back to using the Roku remote app if you wish.

The roku tv code in each is 4398. It will give access to 0-9 commands for direct entry of channel numbers.
