I looked away for a second and my 3 and 5 year old nephews had smashed some buttons on the remote. Then when trying to hit "ok" in the center of the arrows on the remote it will not select anything. I can't select any of the apps. I can hit the Netflix button on the remote and it will open Netflix and once inside the application I can select and hit enter on things. But when I hit the home button it takes me back to the home screen but I am not allowed to select anything. I tried turning it off and on again. The only thing I haven't done is a factory reset. Please help

Unplug the power to the Roku device for several seconds. Roku streaming devices don't turn off and simply turning a Roku TV off and on doesn't really accomplish anything.

Hi, @jhouston
Welcome to the Roku Community.
To answer this question, unplugging your Roku device or TV will not factory reset. It will just simply restart your Roku device and will not make any changes or remove your apps or your WiFi settings.
Hope this clarifies your question, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Thanks,
The Roku Community.
