Sorry, I can’t quite figure out what that means. I don’t recall any TV I have purchased coming with an offer to upgrade the remote, at any price, let alone for free.
But if it's not working, that's more of a replacement than an upgrade. If it's not working, are you within the exchange period of the store? Or are you at least within the one-year warranty period?
