Re: Remote finder sound won't work in app

We appreciate you for joining us here in the Roku Community, @GrumpyRob!

Thanks for letting us know about the issues you're currently experiencing with the lost remote finder feature. We'd like to know more about this to provide you with an accurate resolution.

Could you please elaborate on the issues you've been experiencing with the lost remote finder feature? If you are unable to utilize this feature, kindly reset your remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again to see if this will emit the feature.

Furthermore, please be aware that the Find My Remote feature is not applicable when using the Roku mobile app. For further details about this feature, kindly refer to our Support article, How to find your Roku remote using the lost remote finder feature

Let us know if you need further clarification and assistance; we'd gladly continue doing so.

Best regards,
Carly

Re: Remote finder sound won't work in app

Thank you for your response however it is obvious that there is a glitch with your remotes. Seeing that I am not the only person that is having this issue then someone on your end needs to look into it. It is not a better issue, it's not a voice command issue. the issue as stated by others is that when you the remote will not make noise when the find my remote is activated. There are too many people having the same issue to be a random occurrence.

Re: Remote finder sound won't work in app

Thank you for the added information and clarification, @GrumpyRob.

In this case, please try changing the lost remote finder sound to see if this triggers the sound directly from your physical remote.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Remotes & devices
  4. Select Remotes and then select your voice remote
  5. Select Change remote finder sound
  6. As you move up and down the list, remain on a selection for a moment to hear a sample played on your TV speakers. When you find a sound you like, press OK to download it to your remote.
  7. To hear the new sound played on the speaker in your remote, select Preview remote finder sound.

Let us know how it goes and we'll continue assisting you from there.

In the meantime, your continuous patience and understanding as we work on this are highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Carly
