Ok, so my remote started its own remapping. Left navigates down then left. Back button launches Netflix. Up launches Sling. Etc... Nothing was spilled on it.
I just did a firmware update to try to fix, problem remains. I disassembled the remote and cleaned the PCB with Isopropol Alcohol, no visible blown capacitors, no visible degerdation. No corrosion. Changed the batteries (Good quality, not Dollar Tree). Any ides other than buy a new remote and pair it?
What could have caused this overnight?
Hi, @upllop. Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We can see that you're experiencing issues with your Roku remote. We would be happy to investigate the issue further and assist you with resolving it.
Before we proceed, we would like to know which type of Roku remote you are having issues with and when the issue occurred. If you have a Roku voice remote, please follow the steps below.
We recommend trying the following steps to help resolve this issue:
Reboot your voice remote
If your voice remote uses standard AA or AAA alkaline batteries, you can reboot it by removing and reinstalling them.
Re-pair your voice remote to your streaming device
If your voice remote has a pairing button, it will be located either on the back of the remote or under the battery cover. Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds or until you see the status light begin to flash.
In the meantime, as we work on this, you may use the Roku Mobile app as an alternative to your physical remote. The Remote feature of the mobile app allows you to use your phone or tablet as a Roku remote.

Hmm. Starting last night, my remote's fast forward button started malfunctioning. It now triggers both rewind and voice input mode. Coincidence? Did Roku push an update last night? I tried all the troubleshooting steps to no effect. The problem persists.
