Welcome to the Roku Community, @KR098tro

Thank you for informing us about the issues you're having with the battery health of your Roku remote. We are happy to provide more information and suggestions.

Roku remotes are built to last, but several factors can cause them to drain batteries more quickly.

  • Heavy usage of private listening on the remote itself--using the mobile app will save your batteries!
  • Congested Wi-Fi network around the device--the reason for this is that most remotes will use RF to connect to your Roku player and constant reconnection will use more battery.
  • Or viewing lots of short-form content, like YouTube, where a streamer could go through a few hundred button presses in an hour.
Furthermore, we offer a Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) with 50% more battery life than the previous edition, with USB-C charging that typically lasts three months per charge. Live TV is one button push away, and you can pull up your favorite apps and adjust settings, like closed captioning, at any time with the quick launch button.

I hope you find this information useful.

Best regards,
